Jim Kabitsis, Don Valley West

Dimitrios “Jim” Kabitsis is the Communist Party of Canada candidate in Don Valley West, where he has lived for ten years. He has 2 daughters, 1 son, and 7 grandchildren.

A long-time progressive activist, Jim has fought to save and expand universal medicare, for quality universal public and post-secondary education available to all, and for Canada’s withdrawal from Afghanistan. He is a member of the Ontario Committee of the Communist Party.

Jim is an active member of Fair Vote Canada, campaigning for proportional representation to make Canada’s electoral system more democratic.
