Darrell Rankin, Winnipeg Centre

Darrell Rankin is the Communist Party of Canada candidate in Winnipeg Centre. Darrell joined the Communist Party in 1978 and has been the Manitoba leader since 1995.

He is a former chair and treasurer of the Canadian Peace Alliance, and is active in the fight for Aboriginal rights and in struggles against free trade, wage freezes, tuition hikes, poverty and racism. “A strong communist party is needed to block global capitalism’s destructive onslaught and win a better future.”

A former researcher and organizer, Darrell works for the Communist Party and is building his collection of grandchildren.
