Location of Brandon Election rally with Communist Party leader Miguel Figueroa changed to MGEU building on Saturday
The location of the election rally for the Communist Party of Canada in Brandon is being changed from the Brandon U campus to the new MGEU building in the city, says Lisa Gallagher, CP candidate in Brandon-Souris.
Miguel Figueroa will be the only Party leader coming to Brandon in this federal election.
"We are in full support of the faculty in their job action," said Gallagher. "Good teaching conditions are good learning conditions." The strike was not on when the campus room was booked, noted Gallager. "We were on the picket line in solidarity with the faculty as soon as we could, on the second day," said Gallagher. "Communists respect picket lines."
