Bob Mann, Hamilton East-Stoney Creek

Bob Mann is the Communist Party of Canada candidate in Hamilton East – Stoney Creek. He has lived in Hamilton his entire life and has been a candidate in several elections.

Bob is a retired Chief Steward for USW Local 1005 and a former executive member of the Hamilton District Labour Council. He remains active in the labour movement and is also involved in the local health care coalition, the fight for social housing and tenants’ rights, and the social justice network.

Currently, Bob is engaged in the struggle against US Steel, trying to save jobs and strong pensions for workers. “If US Steel can’t keep the plant open, then the government should take over the plant and run it.”
